    Improvement of Properties of Steel Pipe for Engineering Machinery-used Hydraulic Cylinder by Element V

    • Described here in the article is the current state of the materials as used for the home-made engineering machinery hydraulic cylinder. Compared with applicable foreign standard for the chemical composition and properties of the said materials, the improvement of properties of both the hot-rolled steel pipe and the cold-drawn one by addition of Element V is analyzed, based on which the hi-toughness materials as meeting the needs of the engineering machineryused hydraulic cylinder is developed. It is regarded via relevant analysis that series low-cast and high toughness materials can be produced by means of just adding Element V only;subsequent matters concerns preparation of applicable national standard in a bid to spread up and apply the above mentioned new V-added hi-toughness materials in the engineering machinery field.
