Study on Treatment Process for Super 13Cr 95 Seamless Steel Tube

Abstract
Studied here in the article is the heat treatment process for the super 13Cr hot-extruded tube. The heat treatment process with consistent performance for the seamless steel tube in St. G. 95 is researched, and finally obtained by means of experimentally conducting quenching and tempering heat treatments at different temperatures, and as a result, mass production of the tube is realized. The experiment result shows that the quenching temperature has little effect on the mechanical properties of the super 13Cr steel, whereas the tempering temperature has significant effect on the yield strength of the steel. As the tempering temperature increases gradually, there exist two temperature periods which make the mechanical properties meet the requirements for the 95 steel. When tempering at low temperature, the yield strength fluctuates greatly along with change of the temperature, which makes it very difficult to control the properties for consistence thereof.And when tempering at high temperature, the yield strength fluctuates slightly along with change of the temperature, and the mechanical properties of 95 steel are relatively stable. The post-heat treatment microstructure is observed and analyzed with the microscope and the scanning electron microscope, based on which how the tensile property gets consistent is explained theoretically.
