Necessity of Disseminating Internally-coated Drill Pipe to Prevent Breaking and Piercing-caused Leakage of Drill Pipe Body

Analyzed are two cases of drill pipe failures,i.e.,the breaking failure of the Ф114.3 mm drill pipe in Shenghuo No.2 Oil Well and the piercing-caused leakage failure of the Ф114.3 mm drill pipe in Wenxi No.3-517 Oil Well in Tuha Oil Field.Also discussed are the necessity of disseminating the internally-coated drill pipe and main problems concerning the said dissemination addressing which some countermeasures are proposed.
