MODIFICATION ON ENERGY-SAVING TYPE OIL FUEL SLOT FURNACE FOR POINTING

The article denotes the modification on the heating furnace prior to pointing on seamless steel pipe end for cold drawing. After modification, the oil fuel furnace for pointing has the surplus heat fully recuperated due to its modified configuration. A better performance of heat conservation and insulation of the farnace is achieved by using the adjustable air seal system and the "S" type dualpipe full hot-air tuyeres. The production experience shows that the modified furnace for pointing has considerable energy-saving effecieney and has made the environmental and working conditions improved greatly, being worth applying to the modification of the same furnaces in the country.
