Characteristics of Process and Equipment of Φ660 mm HFW Pipe Production Line

Elaborated in the paper are process characteristics and equipment advantages and features of the Φ660 mm HFW pipe production line，involving the pipe mill proper，the NDT systems，the weld heat treatment systems，the finishing section，the physiochemical testing devices and facilities，and the production management system，etc.The product quality assurance ability of each individual key equipment unit is discussed. Pipes as trial manufactured with the said production line are all in conformity with applicable API specifications，including the Φ660.0 mm×17.5 mm X70 casing，the Φ660.0 mm×22.2 mm X52 casing and the Φ244.48 mm×11.00 mm P110 & N80 casings，and the Φ610.0 mm×6.3 mm X52 & Φ508 mm×5 mm X42 extra-D/S heavy-wall linepipes.
