EXPERIMEMT ON LUBRICANT FOR HOT-ROLLED STEEL PIPES

The introduction presented here covers the optimization of the formula for the hot-rolled steel pipe lubricant with the method of right-angle experiments and the development of a water base pipe lubricant mainly containing graphite,polyphosphate and boride.The experimental results show that the friction factors of the said lubricant are respectively 0.015 at 500℃,0.065 at 700℃and 0.100 at 800℃,which means that the operation performance will be satisfactory provided proper control of the additive amount and required temperature for application are ensured.
