Current Situation and Development Orientation of Domestic Weld Pipe Industry

The significant development of domestic weld pipe industry as made since starting of the 9th FYP is described. The existing problems relating to development of domestic weld pipe-making industry is analyzed, emphasizing that it is necessary to speed up relevant technological development and change the current growing approach aiming at quantity only. Relevant measures are proposed to make faster and better technological progress and development with respect to domestic industry of manufacturing of straight ERW pipes, spiral SAW pipe and straight SAW pipe in a bid to realize the great goal of turning China into a steel tube-making giant.
