Application of PLC to Control System of Drill Pipe Chain Transfer

Owing to some problems like aging of the components,the old DC servo drive system of the drill pipe transfer mechanism had become less reliable.The newly-built automatic control system of the chain transfer of the oil drill pipe production line consists such major parts as PLC,pulse transmission module,servo controller and HMI etc.,and is in possession of advantages namely,high reliability,strong anti-interference ability and easy maintenance.The solution is in the light of the general development trend of transmission control technology to-wards the AC transmission.Elaborated in the paper are the major aspects of the said control system such as the configuration,work principle and software/hardware design.
