Analysis of Performance of HSTITitanium Alloy Premium Connection

Elaborated here in the essay is a titanium alloy premium connection named as HSTI.The FEA method is used to study its sealing performance,and the full-scale make-up & break out test is conducted to it.Furthermore the composite loading test is also performed as per ISO 13679 ∶2002,CAL IV.The test results demonstrate that the HSTI premium connection is capable of meeting the requirement,i.e.,after ten times of make-up and break out operations,no thread galling is found.And the excellent sealability of the premium connection is well proved via the FEA investigation as well as the full-scale test.
