Development of a New Plug Bar Stripping Device of Plug Bar Circulation System

As a critical part of the plug bar circulation system of the piercer outlet table,the plug bar stripping device is used to get the plug bar withdrawn out of the pierced shell. A new type plug bar stripping device is described here,covering such main aspects as equipment composition,structure design,drive motor power calculation and engineering application,etc. Based on relevant theoretical analysis and engineering practice verification,it is demonstrated that the said plug bar stripping device features high productivity efficiency,good structural strength,and operational flexibility,etc.,being well-satisfactory to the normal operation of the plug bar circulation system as required by the piercing mill with quick operation cycle and high capacity.
