ANALYSIS OF MEASUREMENT ACCURACY OF LASER GAUGE FOR STEEL PIPE IN-LINE DYNAMIC DIAMETER MEASUREMENT

The paper involves major aspects of the newly developed laser gauge for steel pipe in-line dynamic diameter measurement,including working principle, measurement accuracy and the site operation result which shows that in case of measuring of steel pipes with a size range of 5-60mm in O. D., the gauge can provide an O.D. accuracy as high as ±0.02mm to meet relevant technical requirement.
