    Experimental Study on Resistance against External Collapse of Shale Gas Casing

    • The resistance against external collapse and main deformation morphology of the shale gas casing under different working conditions are studied by the full-scale test and the finite element analysis(FEA).The results show that the bearing capacity decreases with the increase of the dog leg degree and the local defect degree,and the deformation morphology resulting from the FEA is the same as the actual damage morphology;and the FEA result has a high consistency with that of the full-scale test.For the heavy-wall pipe which can not be collapsed with the existing test equipment,the FEA method may be used to conduct the simulation analysis of the collapse test.
