Modification of Gear Reducer of Φ76 mm Pipe Mill forSpeed-Increasing Purpose

To enhance production capacity of the manufacturing equipment, proper modification of the gear reducer of the Φ 76 mm pipe mill located at Seamless Steel Tube Plant, Anyang I ＆ S Corporation, Ltd., Henan Province was conducted to increase the mill speed. Based on relevant comparison and analysis, it was chosen to use a lower speed ratio for the reducer so as to increase the mill speed.
