    Development of Ф126 mm Groove for Ф89 mm Semi-floating Mandrel Pipe Mill

    • Described in the article are the groove design solution for the piercer,mandrel mill and stretch-reducing mill to produce typical Ф114 mm×4.5 mm pipe size under the product range expansion program of the Ф89 mm semi-floating mandrel pipe mill by Hengyang Hualing Steel Tube(Group) Co.,Ltd.Elaborated are the analytical method as used for design of the Ф126 mm groove and the trial operation with the said groove.The operation result shows that the said groove is rationale and easy to use,and capable of producing quality tubes.As a result,the product range has been expanded to Ф25 ~ 121 mm×2.5 ~ 16 mm,and the mill’s productivity fully tapped.
