LEVEL OF PIPE-MAKING FACILITIES OVERSEAS AND PROPOSED DEVELOPING TREND OF DOMESTIC WELDED PIPE INDUSTRY

With knowledge resulting from personal on-the-spot investigations regarding U.S. welded pipe producers, welded pipe-making equipment manufacturers and associated firms and visit to foreign technologies and facilities in this field exhibited at '95 Tube & Pipe International Exposition, Chicago, the author introduces to the audience the development situation of the welded pipe production abroad, including such aspects as equipment accuracy, roll changing, formation, cold-reducing process and product development, while points out the major problems concerning domestic welded pipe production and also predicts the possible development trend in this sector in China.
