A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF PROCESS-EQUIPMENT FEATURES OF NEW TYPE ASSEL MILL

The co-authors introduce the process-equipment features of the new type Assel pipe mill and the modification of the old Φ100mm pipe production line. The trial production shows that in case of producing medium-wall pipes the Assel mill can provide non-end-crop pipe-rolling providing the pipe O. D. is 5mm less than that of the shell, and in Case of light-wall pipe-rolling with the mill's QUICK-OPEN system the end-crop is controlled to be within 50mm.
