Baosteel’ s Independently-developed Design Integrity of H₂S Corrosion Testing System

A complete H₂S corrosion testing facility has been set up by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co..,Ltd.to meet the need for mill testing activities concerning the steels for SSC OCTG,SSC linepipe and pressure vessel service,consisting such units as the SSCC lab,the HIC lab,the testing preparation room,the control room and the waste gas processing system,etc.Thanks to the independently-developed design integrity,big difficulties associated with such issues as the waste gas processing system,the stress ring centralized control,the constant temperature corrosion bath and air conditioning system,etc.are all solved,resulting in having the “bottle neck” of the SSC OCTG production eliminated,and the production capacity of SSC OCTG increased.
