    AN INVESTIGATION INTO NON-MANDREL DRAWING PROCESS FOR STEEL PIPE WITH TWO-STAND Y TYPE THREE-HIGH ROLLER DIE DRAWING MILL

    • The paper involves an investigation into the new steel pipe manufacture technology of roller die drawing with the two-stand Y type three-high mill.Compared with the traditional fixed die drawing process, the said newly developed process is able to produce better conditions for the deformation section in terms of friction, speed and deformation, which will improve the uneveness of metal deformation and lessen the friction between metal and the die, resulting in a significant reduction of the residual stress in the drawn pipe.
