  • Accurate setup of the drawing force applied for drawing of tubular product plays an important role in working out proper drawing process, maximizing the mill capacity and ensuring safe and consistent running of the mill. Effect by friction of the sizing section of the drawing dies on the drawing force are discussed in terms of the three drawing Processes, namely non-mandrel drawing, fixed-mandrel drawing and floating-mandrel drawing, and appropriate calculation formula for drawing force deduced.
