CAUSE-ANALYSIS OF ANTI-FLATTENING PROPERTY NON-CONSISTENCE OF HOT ROLLED/REDUCED HEAVY-WALLED 20G STEEL PIPE AND RELEVANT IMPROVEMENT MEASURES

Factors responsible for the anti-flattening pioperty non-consistence of hot rolled/reduced heavy-walled 20G steel pipe made by Shanghai No.1 I & S Works are analyzed. Accordingly relevant impiovement measures are established, including addition of normalization treatment, changing the pipe delivery condition from being hot-rolled into being heat treated etc., which enable a significant improve-ment of the said non-consistence.
