Validation Method for Seamless Steel Tube NDT Special Processes

Elaborated are all the contents，methods and procedures of the seamless steel tube NDT special process as to be validated（i.e.，equipment comprehensive performance testing，verification of NDT operator qualification and competence，and evaluation of the NDT management system and its operation，etc）.Also proposed are the principle for disposal of the validation conclusion，and requirements for validation frequency and re-validation.It is emphasized that all the records from the validation activities should be retained，and a general validation report should be prepared based on the validation activities.The above mentioned validation method and scope are worth using as reference for steel pipe makers to perform validation of NDT special processes.
