Initial Discussion of Centrifugal Casting Process for Dual-metal Clad Tube in Carbon Steel-High chromium Casting Iron

Described in the article is the trial of the dual-liquid centrifugal casting process to produce clad tube with carbon steel as outer case and hi-chromium casting iron as inner case. Based on relevant analysis and tests,relevant technical features are determined,including the rotary speed of the casting mould,casting temperature and casting speed,the interval between casting of the two metals,using No.1 Protecting Agent in the interface and the heat treatment process suitable to the dual metal case. The research result shows that compared with the inserting process,the said centrifugal casting process for dual metal case possess such advantages as less processing steps,reduction of material consumption and significant economic benefit.
