SOME TECHNOLOGY ASPECTS IN THREE ROLL PIPE ROLLING

Some technology aspects in three-roll pipe roiling are described. The advantages of the three-roll rolling can be fully used if varieties and sizes of products are in proper ranges, Some surface defects such as inside wrinkle caused by the three-roll rolling process itself except for the defects caused by low quality raw materials can be avoid if a three-roll mill is matched with a three-roll piercer. The end trumpet and end triangle can be eliminated if a rolling process with three angles rotating is used for thick wall pipe rolling and other processes for thin wall pipe rolling.
