    Effect by On-line Heat Treatment on Welding Seam Quality of Weld Oil Casing Pipe

    • Taking the HFW J55 casing pipe as an example, firstly the pipe’s physical properties are comparatively analyzed, and furthermore, the effect by the on-line heat treatment on enhancement of quality of the pipe welding seam is discussed. With simulated normalization plus temper heat treatment process, the tensile strength and impact toughness of the welding seam of the said J55 pipe are greatly improved. It is suggested that the domestic weld pipe manufacturing circles make more effort in research on the equipment and process for on-line heat treatment of the welding seam in a bid to improve quality of the weld pipe, and realize the normative development of the domestic weld pipe-making industry.
