Measurement of and Study on Rolling Forces of Full-floating Mandrel Mill

The operation status of the full-floating mandrel pipe mill of Baoshan I & S Co.,Ltd.is investigated by means of measuring the mill's rolling forces.The rolling force variation of the mill during the rolling process is analyzed.The theoretic rolling force of each individual roll stand of the mill is calculated with proper formula for theoretic calculation,and the calculated values are compared with relevant actual measured values in a bid to build up a model to forecast the rolling force of the mandrel mill process.
