Orientation for Product Upgrade to be Taken by Domestic Steel Tube Industry during 13th FYP Period

Elaborated in the article are the varieties，types，and characteristics of the steel tubes as used in the major domestic steel tube downstream industries，and relevant requirements for such products. Also analyzed here are the development trends and steel tube demand trends of the said industries. Accordingly，it is suggested that the domestic steel tube-making industry take product R & D addressing the needs for steel tubes by the downstream industries，strengthen the R & D efforts，adjust product variety，and upgrade the products so as to realize the strategic transformation of the steel tube-making industry from the present output-seeking mode into a new mode aiming at product variety，quality and benefit.
