Abstract
Detailed in the article are the development of domestic manufacturing technologies for stainless steel tubes, including hot-piercing and cold-processing techniques developed since the '50s. Also addressed here is the gap between the domestic sector and its counterpart overseas on the said technologies involving nine aspects, namely, bloom-making process, tube hot-rolling process, tube cold-rolling/drawing processes, degreasing process, heat treatment process, process lubrication, surface polishing, NDT and tube deep-processing. Proposals are put forward, covering such issues as" developing extrusion process and hot-extruded tubulars "," spreading out bright heat treatment process "," organizing specialized production of specialty tubing " and" developing steel tube deep-processing to enhance economic benefits for businesses ", etc.
