Causes and Relevant Countermeasures for Strip Steel Deviation from Delivery Line during SAWH Pipe Manufacturing Process

  • Based on the working site operation circumstances, the delivery machine is analyzed, and some of the causes for strip steel deviation from the delivery line are identified, involving such factors as lateral wearing of the delivery roller, weight of the delivery machine drive system, and the delivery pressure, etc. Accordingly, countermeasures are proposed to prevent the strip steel deviation during the delivery operation, including putting the main drive units at both side of the delivery machine in case of building a new SAWH pipe production line, adding devices like the pre-delivery guide plate, properly selecting the hydraulic screw-down unit, and improving erection accuracy of the equipment to reduce the probability of occurrence of strip steel deviation.
