Abstract

Discussed in the article are the root cause of and other elements responsible for occurrence of outer fold of the St.20pipe,including contents of Al and S,Mn/S ratio,casting temperature/velocity and billet heating schedule,etc.Technological actions are proposed to reduce the said defect occurrence.
