RESEARCH ON BITE-PLATE OF COLD-DRAWING PIPE MILL

Based on analysis concerning the requirements for the performance of the bite-plate for manufacturing cold-drawn high-precision steel tubes,proper material,heat treatment process and bite tooth profile of the said bite.plate were selected. Relevant operational practice has shown that the bite-plate made with the new material and having newly-designed tooth profile has such advantages as longer service life,fewer tube-end breaking occurrances during pipe drawing,which mean considerable economic value.
