A Discussion on Standards for Seamless Steel Pipes for Shipbuilding

A comparison of the technical norms of seven Chinese and foreign standards for shipbuilding seamless steel pipes is made with necessary explanations, based on which it is concluded that relevant Chinese Standard (GB) and Chinese CCS Standard are equivalent to major international standards for shipbuilding pipes like the Lloyd's Register Rule. Adoption of multi-standards for shipbuilding pipes has benefited development of the domestic ship-building industry.
