    Development of End-facing/Chamfering Machine for Ф426 mm Seamless Steel Tube

    • Elaborated in the paper are the main aspects of the first home-made end-facing/chamfering machine for processing of max. Ф426 mm hot-rolled seamless steel tube as developed by China National Heavy Machinery Research Institute, including major technical data, process flow, equipment composition and principal struc- tural characteristics, etc. The machine is capable of processing Ф139.7~426.0 mm×5~40 mm hot-rolled seamless steel tubes with max. single piece weight up to 4 000 kg. Its functions include removing inner/outer burr of tube end left after cropping, beveling tube end with any angle and keeping blunt edge, and squaring tube end-face. The machine has been put into actual operation domestically.
