Current Domestic Situation and Development of Automatic Eddy-current Detection and Ultrasonic Detection of Seamless Steel Tubes

At present domestic seamless steel tube makers are in general equipped with relevant automatic NDT systems to ensure the ex-works quality of the products.This paper involves a briefing on the defect types of seamless steel tubes, and the situation concerning domestically-used automatic eddy-current and ultrasonic detection equipment for seamless steel tube inspection and existing problems therewith.Proposal concerning development orientation of such automatic NDT equipment is also put forward.
