    Processing Techniques for Special End-beveling of HFW Pipe

    • To solve the problem that the pipe-end chamfering facilities as being used at present by the company are not capable of meeting the requirement for processing the special 37.5° bevel angle of the HFW pipe, a technological measure is proposed, i. e., taking the point as selected on the bar of the outer bevel cutter as the reference point so as to change the space position of the cutter blade's major cutting edge to turn the angle between it and the spacious perpendicular line from the original 30° into 37.5°. The result of the workshop trail massive production has proved that the modification design proposal as implemented is so effective that the requirement for processing special end bevel profile of the HFW pipe is satisfied.
