    Design of Turning Device for Tube during Hi-speed Flux Leakage Flaw Detection

    • Described are the main aspects concerning tube turning during the hi-speed flux leakage tube flaw detecting operation, covering tube-turning process,tube-turning path and requirement of the movement cycle, etc. Several possible tube-turning device types are discussed and compared. As a result the plate-type turning device is chosen, and the structural design is conducted. It is finally determined to use flexible pulling ropes to control a group of tube-turning units synchronously. Thanks to this solution, a chronic problem encountered with the tube-turning equipment in the hi-speed tube flaw detecting line is fixed that is lack of enough space for the turning system to get synchronously controlled.
