Analysis of Causes for Oil Tubing/Casing Galling Failure and Development of Anti-galling Technique

As the most common one among the oil tubing/casing failure types,thread galling failure has been a chronic hard nut in the domain of oil pipe application research both at home and abroad.Based on the studies on the mechanism of the galling failure,different elements which lead to occurrence of thread galling failures during the threading or assembling process or the oil field operation are analyzed.The current situations of the research on anti-galling techniques both at home and overseas are elaborated,and the orientation for further research in this field is discussed.
