Study on Polygonal ID of Medium/Heavy Wall Steel Tubes Occurring in Slight Stretch Reducing Process

A study is made based on the fact that polygonal ID of medium/heavy wall tubes occurs during slight stretch reducing process, covering analysis of the mechanism concerning formation of the "hexagonal ID" and the "triangle ID". With relevant empirical data, an ovality equation is set up, and actions to eliminate the said polygonal IDs are proposed.
