    NEWLY DEVELOPED COMPUTERIZED MULTI-FUNCTIONAL INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR SEAMLESS STEEL TUBE

    • Controlled by a computer system, the multifunctional seamless steel tube inspection system which employs various detecting and measuring techniques features high passing rate, low faulty rate and high inspection accuracy, being capable of detecting/inspecting a great number of items, namely, longitudinal/transverse flaw, outer/inner folding, surface defect and local wall unevenne ss, diameter, length, wall thickness as well as alloy elements with 100% coverage of the pipe ba ing inspected.The author introduces in this paper the configuration and inspection principles of the said system.
