    Manufacturing Technology of High-performance SAWH Pipe for Oil/Gas Pipeline Service

    • Briefly introduced are the present domestic development situation of the product technologies for the SAWH pipe, and the applications of the pre-welding process (the two-step process) for producing such pipes at home and abroad. The advantages of manufacture of the SAWH pipe with the pre-welding process is comparatively analyzed in terms of product material object performance index and work efficiency. Moreover, addressing the problems related to manufacture of the SAWH pipe with the pre-welding process, some countermeasures are proposed. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that although the one-step process is mainly employed by the domestic SAWH pipe-making circles, it is also necessary to introduce the pre-welding process from abroad, and carry upgrade of the currently-used process technologies in a bid to meet the market demand, and follow the development trend of the technology for oil/gas linepipe production.
