Calculation and Analysis of Cone Type Piercer Roll Gap Based on Software MATLAB

For the purpose of rolling high precision steel pipes,it is a must to calculate the roll gap in the deformation zone.Elaborated in the paper is a MATLAB-based mathematic model as used for computing the roll gap of the cone type piercer(CTP).Quantitative analysis on the said roll gap is conducted,and this analytical method can be used for design of the CTP plug,and also as the basis for process adjustment of the mill.
