    Analysis of Stiffness Measurement of Full-floating Mandrel Mill

    • The rolling force and the roll gap variation of the Φ140 mm full-floating mandrel mill of Baoshan I&S Co., Ltd. are on-line measured by means of the rolling force and roll gap sensors as developed by the company itself. As a result, changes of the roll gap variable S as following change of the rolling force P for different steel grades and sizes are obtained. Thus the stiffness coefficient of the mill is deduced as 5530 kN/mm by linear regression with the measured data.
