    Improvement on Positioning and Angle-adjustment of Piercing Mill Roll Cradle

    • Being used for controlling and adjusting of roll angle, piercer roll cradle is considerably responsible for uneveness of the pierced shell wall thickness in terms of controlling level thereof. Several roll cradle control methods are described in the article. Relevant operation has proven that the method of using fixed-angle positioning key is the best among the methods. The said method can bring about such advantages as reliable fixture, easy adjustment, simplicity in manufacture, operation and maintenance as well as high economic benefit.
