MODIFICATION OF Φ76mm PIERCER

Described in the paper are the main aspects concerning the modified Φ76mm piercing mill located at Seamless Steel Tube Plant, Guangzhou I & S Co., Ltd., including composition and performances of the equipment and the poerational efficiency of the mill. Relevant operational practice of the mill has proven that the mill line has the same capacity as that of the Φ100mm piercer, which covers a wider product mix and higher productivity, i. e. satisfactory economic benefit.
