DETERMINATION OF RESIDUAL STRESS EXISTING IN PIPE BEING DRAWN ON MANDREL DRAWING MILL

The use of Davidenkov method makes it possible to determine the longitudinal residual stress existing in pipe being drawn on a mandrel drawing mill and the residual stress developed during pipe beading as well. The magnitude and symbol of the residual stress greatly depends on the initial deformation rate of the pipe under drawing with the working tools.
