    Application of SEW Servo Control to Feed System of Fully-automatic Chamfering Machine

    • Elaborated here in the article is the mechanical structure of SEW Servo Control-based feed sysytem and its control process of the fully-automatic chamfering machine.The SEW Servo Control System as adopted is composed of such key components as the SEW Servo Controller proper, the PLC, and the touch screen which altogether perform monitoring of the operation position and status of the feed system via the PROFIBUS-DP message.Thanks to the advantages of the SEW Servo Controller such as high output torque, accurate and stable running speed, and quick positioning, etc., any error of the feed system can be corrected so as to ensure consistent feed operation, and improve the quality and efficiency of bevelling operation of the HFW steel pipe, being satisfactory to the requiement for production cycle of the chamfering machine.
