37Mn5 steel, with low P and S contents and stable chemical compositions, can be used to produce the seamless steel drilling pipes which can be fully substituted for imported geological tubes. The chemical compositions of the steel and the cold-drawing and heat-treatment processes and the mechanical properties of the pipes produced with the steel are concerned.
