A STUDY CONCERNING TECHNIQUE FOR DRAWING SEAMLESS STEEL TUBE WITH Y TYPE THREE－ROLL DIE AND LONG MANDREL

The study involves the new technique for diameter/wall thichness reduction of cold-drawn seamless steel tube with three-roll die and long mandrel. Compared with the traditional fixed－die drawing technique, the new roll-die drawing technique can provide such advantages as better friction condition of the deformation zone,improved velocity condition and deformation conditions,which result in less friction between the metal and the die and simplification of the manufacturing process.
