    Discussion on Elements Responsible for Mechanical Properties of SAW Spiral Weld Pipe

    • All analyzed are the major elements responsible for mechanical properties of the SAW spiral weld pipe, including strip quality, formation stress, hydrostatic testing and Bauschinger effect. It is suggested that to meet more critical requirements for future gas/oil pipe lines, mechanical properties of SAW spiral weld pipes need to be improved by means of trimming chemical composition of the raw material, modifying the rolling and formation processes as well as lessening the Bauschinger effect.
