Application of Front and Tail Tip Rolling Technique to Operation of Home-made Mandrel Pipe Mill

Elaborated in the article are mainly the function,mechanisms and technological characteristics and application result of the tube front and tail tip rolling technique as applied to the home-made mandrel pipe mill line. With functions of both precise and quick control of the position of the mill’s roll screwdown hydraulic cylinder and the rpm of the mill’s electric motor,the tube front and tail tip rolling technique has been successfully applied to operation of the home-made mandrel pipe mill,resulting in significant reduction of the cropping length.
