Intelligent Coordination Design of Roll Pass of Assel Pipe Mill

Introduced in the article is the method for design of the roll pass of Assel pipe mill based on the network and VR technologies. Detailed are the systematic structure of the intelligent coordination design of the roll pass of Assel pipe mill, the design methods for various modules on the basis of the software platform of Macromedia Flash Professional 8 and the object-oriented programming language Action Script, realization of the 3-D effects in Flash and the design scheme of the interface with the Auto CAD platform. The roll passes as de- signed with this design method has been put into operation in Tianjin Steel Pipe Corp., Ltd., being successful in rolling seamless steel tubes with 6 billet sizes and 500 specifications.
